"COPPERSPRING GUNDOGS"

Working English Springer Spaniels

  Ammerdown Working Spaniel Test 2013

"Sponsored by CSJ and Working Dog Company"

Saturday 13th April 2013 at Ammerdown Estate.

Judges: Andy Fisher & Richard Biggs

Yet again we had another good amount of handlers and dogs, 26 in the novice and 13 in the open.

The novice test was done on dummies kindly supplied by "The Working Dog Company", which was a refreshing change to the bog standard dummies and certainly tested a few dogs.  Test consisted of a hunt up with a blind and a seen retrieve.

Ever increasing popularity of this test has brought more new faces to the test, which is brilliant.

The heavens opened and even though everyone was drenched by the rain, spirits remained high.

The Open Test was done on cold game, lovely pheasant cock birds kindly supplied by Glynn Smith, which again this was a different scenario as the test is usually done with pigeons.  Test consisted of a hunt up, and crossover retrieves followed by a blind.

Saturday 24th March 2012 at Ammerdown Estate.

Another successful day at the Ammerdown Test, which was kindly sponsored by CSJ Canine Specialist Feeds.

The weather was great, nice to see so many people turn up to either participate or spectate.

Familiar faces as well as new ones were there on the day, this event has proved itself to be more popular each year, which is fantastic to introduce new people into the sport.

The standard of dogs are getting better & better each year as well as the handlers experience.

The Judges on the day were Kevin Barraclough, Richard Preest & Myself, without the judges & yourselves who enter, this event would not take place so l like to say a Big Thank You to you all!

Ivan Pascoe, who kindly gave up his day to be the test photographer, has now sent through the link for you all to view (see below). Please note a high resolution photographs are available from Ivan, for a small fee.
